Dryer Vent Cleaning

Call us, At Long Island Home Dryer Vent Service, to have your dryer vent inspected and cleaned. The dryer vent is usually behind your dryer, vented in front of the wall and outside. This system, while it works well when it is in good condition, can often be subject to damage. Items falling on the tubes can create a blockage in the system. Our skilled technicians will inspect your entire system, determine if any damage has occurred and advise if anything needs to be attended to.

Sometimes, when the machine is moved or shifted, perhaps during the dryer cycle, the hose may become dispatched from the back of the machine. This is very dangerous, as when this happens the lint is not going where it is supposed to go, outside, through the tubes. It is acclimating behind the machine and the heat of the machine could cause it to ignite. We can inspect and repair any missing, or dispatched portions of your dryer vent, ensuring that it is flowing properly.

We will also inspect the type of dryer vent hose that is installed in your home. Recently, plastic venting hose was discontinued due to fire safety hazards. It was found that the heat of the dryer would cause the plastic fail. These hoses are often white, instead of aluminum color. If you have a plastic hose attached to your dryer, we highly recommend that you have it replaced with an updated aluminum system.
